Why are there US army bases all around the world but there are no other country's bases stationed in the US?

(Not just Army, but also Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps. It's more accurate to say US military bases or US Armed Forces bases.)

It has a lot to do with countries where the US prevailed in wars or countries that are US allies and agreements between the two require or allow the US presence.


This is a great question, and when I served in the Marine Corps, it's one that crossed my mind also.
