There is just one more thing you need to do throw away the key to that Liquor cabinet, so you cannot restock it with more liquor

Are you locking it from others or yourself?  It seems to me if you need a key, you are not being trustworthy nor are the people you supposedly trust around you.
I"m not sure we gave you the power over the liquor cabinet in our house anyway.  We decided to have one.  You are more than welcome to it as am I. 
No one has the power over it.  Not even the liquor.  It is there to enjoy any time you would like.  Morning, noon, or night.
Don't give it so much power.  You are in control of you.  It's just a liquid.  There isn't anything that special about it except it cost a lot of money.  It wrecks your liver and so on.  If you want to lock it, you aren't locking it from me.  You are from you.

What part of the world alcoholic escapes you?  There is nothing a person with a jones on will not go through if alcohol can be obtained.

Also it will do you no good to refill it and hide the key because I already had a duplicate made.  I am way ahead of you.  And if the lock is changed, I will simply cut the glass and replace it later.
