Sen. Kamala Harris says she has seen autopsy photos of slaughtered children after gun-related massacres. Shouldn't all Pols see them?

Shouldn't they have to see the aftermath just so they are completely informed about it and what it looks like especially with regard to the babies and toddlers and young kids and teenagers that are murdered. Why?

    The abortion argument is valid because of the pictures. Prolife supporter would like for all politicians to look at the pictures of an abortion for the same reasons. 
    I am prolife. I also support the safety net for the poor in our society. So don't use such a broad brush there.

    I am prolife too, but understand the complexities of one making a decision to have an abortion.  

    That should be saved for another post, but I'll tell you what...if I was an alcoholic and got pregnant, I would not be having that child!  Fetal Alcohol Syndrome is no joke and it's cruel that a child should be born with it.  Nikolas Cruz apparently had it.  If he wasn't born, maybe 17 other kids would be alive.

    It's pretty depressing.  I know a child is often born with brain damage of some sort.  This kid had a lot of issues that started at birth.  I am just so very sad about it all.

    I knew this kid was adopted, but I didn't know he had fetal alcohol syndrome.  There are a lot of things that went wrong in this boy's life, none of which are an excuse for him to do what he did.  Apparently, his mother did try to get help for him, but some things just aren't fixable and this boy may be one of them.

    The whole thing is horrible.  He was adopted young.  Not sure what his adoptive parents knew of his problems, but it sounds like they did their best.  Time will tell what they did and didn't do for him.  I just know the adoptive dad died some years ago and then the adoptive mom passed just this November.  The kid was already having major issues, but apparently the death of him mother really affected him.  He didn't get along with others, but a friend's family took him in after the mother died.  I am sure they had no idea what was going on in that boy's head.  I just heard about the FAC today.  How true that is also remains to be seen.  But if it is, there is no doubt the boy probably had brain damage.

    Some kids are handed a plateful of crap when they come into this world and somehow, against all odds, manage to make something good of their lives.  Others can't.  I can certainly understand the devastation of a young boy losing his father and ten years later, losing his mother - separate and apart from any other physical or mental issues he himself may have had.  Still and all, it doesn't excuse what he did.  Now there is something on Yahoo that the FBI said it never properly followed up on the tip it got about him.

    Totally agree with all you say.  Every life is so complex.  Some overcome incredible odds while others go down a dark hole over things most learn to cope with.  

    I am hearing about how the FBI dropped the ball.  This kid was really acting out before this happened.  The images are chilling.

    He seems to have been a problem child from early on.  I wonder if it started when his dad died - he was only about 8 or 9.

    I'm sure we will learn more in time.  They said he was crying and remorseful for his actions.  Of course it's impossible to understand how he could do harm in the first place.  A lot of mentally ill people have problems with impulse control and have fits of rage.  But very few calculate on how to shoot to kill as many innocent people they can.

    YES

    This group, 'the pols', however, are so deadened to their emotional reactions, THAT they cannot even recognize the choking in their throats, the kick in their stomachs, the burning of the nerves that comes to a NORMAL human being when seeing a picture like that.  This group, 'the POLS',  choices are so inhuman and dead, they are not connected to any emotion at all.   Consciously.   They have no idea what their emotions even are.  They are inured to making any decision as to regarding whether or not this SLAUGHTER OCCURS.  They are beyond human; they are ZOMBIES.   This love of Zombie figures has not come about from nowhere.   We recognize this potential death to us all.  The disease of no-mind, no-thought and just knee-jerk reaction.

    This is exactly the way NAZI Germany happened.  It happened because everyone allowed the atrocity.  Not just the powers-that-be.  No, this includes everyone in the whole of our society-- and it happened gradually (*but rapidly) right in front of our zombie-noses.    Pictures of slaughtered kids?  Same as it ever was when you are used to looking at slaughtered kids which these POLS are used to by now.  Dead Japanese kids, dead Nazi kids, dead Viet Kong kids dead Korean kids --- They are a movie happening somewhere else.  NOT HERE.  That is all they know.  Knee-jerk gratification serving only themselves and their needs.  Not some slaughtered brat in some Muslim country.   Not some terrorist.  I'm sure it was some terrorist kid.  You know.  That kind of rationalization that certifies one INSANE.

    Senator Harris is a California girl and we have followed her career and supported her since she came on scene. We hope to live to see the day she runs for prez and gets the job! She is an intelligent/dynamic/forceful figure even though she is rather new to the D.C. venue. We have great hopes for her. I think her suggestion is brilliant. Wish to he** I'd thought of it! But what pol is gutsy enough to do it? They are all toady wimps...the ones who wouldn't look..the ones who are the sycophantic lemmings in the doofus don entourage. That's a lotta people.     Maybe it would it would snap the public back into the real world Rosie in to a community where the police and public don't need guns.....

    Im afraid displaying photo's of dead babies and children would have such a dreadful effect on families that have had their children killed.........

    I just couldn't put myself in the situation where Americans have to live with the threat of that happening every day.....

    Im so glad I wasn't born in America were guns are so easilly available and excessible to everyone sane or sick..

    I don't think America will ever change....

    I also wonder how many pro gun people that  have lost children ,babies family and friends what they thought of thier laxs gun laws now......would they still want everyone to have the right to carry guns...?
