So what's the longest amount of time you kept one particular pair of them?

There is a reason why I have implants.  I lose everything including contact lenses and eyeglasses.

Twelve years.  When I was 21 the doctor said I needed glasses and to wear them all of the time.  Being the lifelong rebel that I am, I did not like to wear them and didn't want to be dependent on them so didn't wear them, other than driving at night.  Twelve years later I had 20/20 vision.   Today I have 20/20 vision.

I still have the first pair of reading glasses I ever got in 1960, when I was in high school.

I got funny looking glasses in 1984 and wore them until a year ago, when I switched to glasses I got in 1992. I now wear the reading glasses for driving.

Some 20 year or so. I keep the old pair of glasses as a reserve if I should loose or break the newer pair.
