I just hope somebody listens and does something.

I can't stand to look at him or listen to him.  He is disgusting.

There were so many signs that everyone ignored including family and friends.
If only some of them had stepped up and said something that shooting may not have happened.

Turns out that a few even contacted the FBI over his postings.  The FBI dropped the ball and now admit it.

How many times are disturbing things posted on the internet and people often say it's, "no big deal".  I looked at some of Nikolas Cruz's stuff that got screen shot by other people posting.  Do you know how many kids actually raved up his violent thoughts?  I have always maintained that people that support such things ought to be looked at too.  There is a whole culture that doesn't think twice about "agreeing" with outrageous stuff that others post.

The FBI is huge.  That is like an issue in a state happening and saying the president dropped the ball instead of in the state where it belongs.

The FBI did overlook stuff.  But it has nothing to do with the higherups that are investigating Comey, et al.

The Repubs will spin it that way to protect Trumpbag of gaslight.

Trump actually had the audacity to say the FBI dropped the ball on Cruz because they were too busy investigating him!!

I did not know that people were encouraging him. But I do know that there are groups on the internet that do encourage violence and should be banned.

I'm sure a lot of kids (and adults) don't even really look at what they are raving up.  I see this on FB a lot.  Someone says something nasty about another and a total stranger will blindly rave it up.  I'm sure there were kids raving up Cruz, not really thinking he would do something terrible.  The internet has really depersonalized people and feelings.  It's not too popular to rise up and call someone out on their bullshit unless it's maybe a heated discussion in a forum like this.  Some as disturbed as Cruz likely felt empowered by those raves up.  Sad to think something so innocuous could have far reaching consequences.

I saw a show last night about a kid who was very troubled and everyone ignored it until he killed his mother.

There are cases where kids are encouraged by others to kill themselves, and they do!  I am really thinking the internet has created a world that some vulnerable kids can't handle.  I know how cruel adults can be.

People did step up - they told the school, the sheriff and even the FBI and the tips were pretty much ignored.

It's the old it can't happen to me attitude that gets people killed. Bad things can happen to anyone and others around them need to wake up and pay attention to those signs and listen to others when they do say something is wrong.

That is horrible to even think, much less say! These students were fearing for their own lives. They were seeing their friends, family and teachers. What the he** did he expect these terrified kids to do?

The sad part is that I'm not at all surprised at him.  This is what he's all about - classless, clueless, crude, rude and with an attitude.

I support: control on automatic weapons and increased availability to mental health care for those who need it.

If they do ban bump stocks it will stop them from turning those guns into automatic weapons which at this time is legal.

If all the students are as impassioned and articulate as this one, then they WILL succeed in making needed changes.

I think many kids feel the same way. I do think we may see some changes now.

You're welcome, Lulu'sMom. You've got to support the students' First Amendment rights, too. I figure. That amendment deserves support, too. I figure, again.

While I don’t advocate neglecting one’s education, I do absolutely support everyone‘s right to peaceful demonstration. It’s what separates us from tyranny.

Given the void of leadership in our govt, I can’t imagine a better time for it either.
