Have you ever spoken with a celebrity without knowing the person was famous?

Kenny Chesney and I had a private, casual conversation; I didn't know who he was until later when others pulled at me, yanking my arm, "You were talking with Kenny Chesney!"

(Chesney and I were in a parking lot; the people pulling at me had seen me with him from within the building.)

Yes, I started the conversation because I found him appealing. Ha! He seems like a really nice guy. He didn't tell me who he was, just talked with me.

  • No, but I have more respect for ordinary people who wish to remain unknowns.

You make a good point, Benedict Wakko.
    :)
    Thanks for answering!

And I don't believe 'celebrities' are 'more than' ordinary people but it was refreshing a bit thinking how open and unassuming Chesney was, considering that he could have thrust his "celebrity-ness" upon me.
    :)

    No.   Can't say I have.

But I have not spoken to many famous people either.  I have nothing to say.

Yeah, Chesney is the only guy I can think of at the moment whom I've spoken to and didn't realize he was famous.
    Thanks for answering, Sharonna!

    Honest.

I don't know anyone famous.  I know a lot of colorful people, but no one you'd know.

    You celebrity-elbow-rubber!
    :)
    Just kidding!

(Elbow-rubbing --  is that the phrase I mean? Is that even a phrase or did I just make it up? Or am I just plain wrong?)

That's a lot of people you've come across!
Thanks for the answer, Nice Jugs.

The phrase is "Rubbing elbows with" ,but close enough...lol

Ive bumped into more in Harrods....You would think they were so nice on TV...but in reality they are the rudest most appalling people I've ever come seen.... They speak to and treat the staff appallingly....The mega rich Arabs are the worst.....

Not that I know.  Kenny Chesney is one of the few country music singers whose music I like.  I have his CD The Road and the Radio and there are some really good songs on it.

I don't know a lot of his music, if any. But he seemed a really nice guy, though.

I don't listen to a lot of music, and they certainly don't play much country music in NYC, but I hear one of his songs somewhere and looked into it further.  He doesn't have that old twangy sound like the early country singers do.

Yeah, that's what I think of, too, with his music; like I said, the little that I've heard.

See if you can find some of the songs on that CD  mentioned.  You may like them.

    You're welcome.

(Though I did explain how my situation occurred -- that was the only way I found out to whom I was talking - -  the other people in the building.)

    :)
