It totally depends as I love dressings. They are like accessories and I love them too.
If I have an ice cold wedge of iceberg lettuce, nothing pairs better to me than a great blue cheese dressing rife with chunks of blue cheese poured on top of it.
That's a simple one.
And then there is fruit salad if you are in the mood and it has the dressing right in it.
We've been making home made Ranch dressing with buttermilk for years. It's better than that oily stuff off the shelf and we haven't tired of it yet at all.
I usually just use oil, vinegar, and a little sprinkle of basil. I also like to make thousand island dressing. Another easy one that I like is mayonnaise with some vinegar mixed into it to thin it with herbs...very tangy and tasty.
Salad dressings, and salad dressing-like condiments have always been my downfall. i don't like any salad dressing except for Zesty Italian from Kraft.
