How do talk gaps play into emotional development?

    In my world:
    There is a big gap in my/our lives right now.  
    Seems like something needs to be done immediately for my sons benefit. I don't want him to be unhappy and I sure don't want to hamper any decision he needs to make at this time.

    Talk gaps have to do with silence in the middle of talking.  It has nothing to do with emotional anything.

    It may teach you an exercise in patience if you need to use this time to brace yourself and not blurt out something unnecessarily.
