Please see my response- we have a new chat service as of yesterday. Mobile users have a button at the bottom of the screen for chat, while desktop users have a long bar at the bottom.
Mobile users who want to free up real estate on their screens can get rid of the box by following the instructions I gave. Desktop users can click the arrow at the far right of the bar to reduce it to a tiny little square.
If you have issues or something isn't working right, let me know.
Well, at least the chat have stopped popping up by itself now, whenever it thinks I should look at it. I guess I have found the checkbox for 'No Chat' in my settings and checked it. I do not get that new chat-navigation thing either.
It is a running problem with computers, that it is so easy to add new features. They get added everywhere (and very rarely documented) to the point where any key you press may suddenly take you somewhere entirely else than you expected or wanted.

To get rid of the box: 1) Click the box at the bottom that says "mobile chat." 2) Click the wrench on the top right. 3) Hit the toggle on/off switch next to "Hide mobile chat tab on site" 4) Exit back out and resume surfing, sans button.
I'll eventually update our help section to reflect the new chat. We just switched services yesterday and I needed to see it in action here before I did any guides. I'll probably tweak and adjust it more over time based on feedback from you guys as well.
