How often have you paid money to someone to silence them about something that never happened? Know anyone who has?

Well every time I pay someone for something that is in essence what I am doing.  Not just buying a product or service but their best discretion as well. Because people are just too damned nosy because I guess they just have nothing better to do with their lives. 

Nope, never have paid anyone to keep silent about anything, done or not done. Nope again to knowing anyone who has. I don't engage in such things and I don't know anyone that does.
