They have every right to protest. However, I also as a law abiding citizen have the right to keep and bear arms.

Why do you people insist that everyone is trying to take away your guns?  All they are looking for are some common sense approaches to gun ownership.

What some call common sense gun control is in fact banning guns.
These same people call the NRA terrorists.
I asked a question a while back for examples of common sense gun control. The only thing with 1 exception were gun bans.

There are certain guns that should be banned from being owned by civilians - semi-automatic weapons that hold large ammo clips fall into that category.  No one is trying to take your other guns away - fret not.

    Good morning,

Just a little love note to tell you that I have yet to see you present any case on any subject at all.  NONE.  No case.   You think the President is sane.  That is your main component on which to lie an utterly unsolid foundation that will not even hold water much less a wall.

    Or something.

So do you have an example of a common sense gun law that does not involve banning any guns?

Why does any civilian need a semi-automatic weapon?

Anytime you need to shoot again rapidly. Without having to reaim or reset your stance.  This could be in a defensive situation...if someone has intruded in your house and you missed the first time or there is more than one intruder.
If you are hunting an animal that is large a fast that may attack you. ie. Bear, wild hogs...
Someone may have a physical limitation that prevents them from being able to operate the action on firearm. This post was edited by my2cents at March 24, 2018 8:03 PM MDT

So, maybe you missed the first time because you aren't a very good shot.  Two intruders?  Try killing the first one and see how fast the second one runs away.

Hunting - I believe you were the one who said hunters don't use semi-automatic rifles.

Physical disability preventing you to operate the action on a firearm - you have no business shooting a weapon which you can't control.

There are hunters certainty hunters who use semi auto rifles. I said ARs generally are illegal to hunt large game with because of the small caliber size (.223) In my state they are not legal for anything larger than varmints. But there are some states that allow it.
I think you are confused....not all semi automatics rifles are the AR style. And the only difference between the "black military
weapon" and any other semo auto rifle is apearance of the stock.

If you have a physical limitation, you buy the equipment that allows you to overcome that limitation...that gives you the ability to control the weapon.

Not every intruder will run of shot at especially if they see you are not a good aim. This post was edited by my2cents at March 25, 2018 8:51 AM MDT

Keep talking.  Every post you make that tries to justify your position makes you appear to be even more wrong.

All of them.  No one - NO ONE - in civilian life needs a semi-automatic weapon.  If you need an AR-15 to kill a squirrel, you have no business owning a gun.

If you can't see properly or you can use your arms properly, you shouldn't own ANY gun.

You take a shot someone coming into your home, I can guarantee you they aren't going to wait around to find out how well you shoot.

You should stop now before you make yourself look more foolish than you do already.  I'll help you by not commenting to you on this any further.  Maybe you'll be smart enough to stop digging now that you're already in a hole.

And according to you this guy should loose his 2nd amendment rights. Glad you are not in charge of rights for disabled peoples.

    I find it extremely telling.

Where were all these "activists" when their peers were being bullied/harassed for being weaker/different?
99.9% of these "activists" just walked on by ... or shared in the laughter.
And then they "don't understand" when someone has enough, and turns violent.
Furthermore, they blame an inanimate object rather than take responsibility for the root cause ... the bullying/harassment.

I have no problem with raising the age to purchase firearms to 21.
But you are either a mature, responsible adult ... or you are not.
If you aren't "of age" to buy firearms - you shouldn't be allowed to drink, smoke, vote, or join the military.

    Ban "assault weapons"?
Try to define that category without going just by looks - which manufacturers can easily get around.

And while you're at it ... why don't you solve the root cause of gang membership?  Lack of feeling like they belong to a family or neighborhood.

BTW - I listened to an interview on NPR this morning, with one of the student organizers.

The reporter asked how he would respond to kids his age, who saw guns as part of their culture for whatever reason.  (hunting, target practice were mentioned as examples)

His response was that he would tell them "We are marching to protect you from people like you".

BAM!  That is the sound of the door slamming shut on you.
You just implied that they are killers, and only succeeded in losing thousand of potential allies for your cause. This post was edited by Walt O'Reagun at March 24, 2018 9:05 PM MDT

Of course they are not a bunch of losers.  They are too tame.  They have never been taught how to rise up.

They are soft.  They think they are fighting.  This is not a fight.  This is a planned, boring EVENT that will not get that much attention. They are up against BIG MONEY. They will not win by marching here and there helter skelter.

They need to take back their lives and they do not do that by caving in and going to school.  They need to SIT.

    STILL.

And do nothing else.  And let the grownups do their jobs.

Like we STARTED IN THE 60's.  We OUSTED ONE CROOK for you.  WE, the HIPPIES did that one.

    SO?  FINISH IT.

Finish this President's reign of terror.

They are not against big money....big money is flocking to them.
Millions have been donated to them.
The anti gun media will pay attention to it.
