Would there be next to no mass shootings in the U.S. if Americans were allowed only black powder guns...

like there were in times such as the ratification of the 2nd amendment?

    I always thought those guns looked way cooler anyway. I've been thinking of getting one at an antique shop just for decoration.

    I believe gunpowder is already easier to get than firearms.
    There may be an age limit - I can't remember. 
    But there is no background check required.

    It's even simpler to buy Tannerite.

    Good point, too.
     To me, there is a difference between the First Amendment and guns, though. Guns are meant to kill and destroy and/or injure and for them to get more and more high-tech. . .
    Oh, never mind; I'll not express myself well -- I'm no expert in any of this anyway,
