Some of my co-workers seem to think they're running their own personal broadcast productions from their office phones. They have to have the volume turned up full-blast, and as if that's not bad enough, then they stand as far away from the phone as humanly possible so that they have to shout to be heard and to be understood. Anyone within the boundary of the entire county is subjected to both sides of the conversation, willingly or not.
One of these geniuses calls his wife and/or children several times a day and carries on personal conversations, making kissy sounds, talking baby talk, having arguments, administering parental discipline, planning family budgets, discussing dinner menus and reminiscing about past vacations. Who needs or wants to hear all of that?
