If the earth is round as some people say, why dont the oceans run down and drop off ?

Just try pouring water on a basketball and see what happens. Yet the oceans are thousands of meters deep, obviously the oceans would run off a round earth.

Enoch (in the bible) had it right. In the morning the sun comes out of a door in the east, then it travels over the Earth, and in the evening it leaves through another door in the west
