    In the days of yellow pages, Barnes And Noble paid for a listing in Boston that said

    "Bonds And Noble - see Barnes And Noble"

    Lots of mispronounced words and a complete absence of palm trees.

    Not that I have seen that many, but it is quite laughable when they stereotype the accents.  In fact there are a number of local accents in this area. Also they mispronounce words, mostly names.  Like Henry Thoreau they put the accent on the second syllable when in fact it is THOReau.  Or Dedham instead of DEDm.  Woburn instead of Wuburn.  And so on like that.
