Yes, in limited circumstances. When I am invited to someone's home for dinner I don't expect to be charged. If my neighbor is leaving town for a month or two and she brings me her eggs I don't pay for them, but I take them.
Only from trusted sources. So, put away that candy bar, I don't want it.

Of course, but I love to offer it as well. People love to give and you should respect their heart being in the right place. Food is a very primal way to silently share good will.

Past experience tells me that there's NEVER any such thing as a "free" lunch!
