Do all the malfunctions and human error at automated self-check out lanes add up more than all the negative experiences at the hands of

customer service and check out personnel? Self check out keeps my day groovy :)

    Not sure what "human error" at self checkout would be?
    But those 8 stations in the local stores move MUCH faster than even the "express" cashier lanes.

    I'm not sure what you are talking about. People with large amounts of stuff go through regular lines so they don't have to handle all that crap one more time, so it's much faster to take small orders through the self checkout lines. There are always some open, even when one is not working.

    I hate those machines, but I love them at the same time. I wish there was an option to change the voice though, I'd like a sexy manly voice.

    I'm just glad they don't bark at people, like the machines at J. C. Penney. (Maybe they don't use those any more. That would be understandable.)
