Discussion»Questions»Human Behavior» A hundred years ago, cell phones and their cameras were not a thing, but they are now. In a hundred years, will they still be a thing?
People will evolve with them already in their bodies. However, it is probable that the few million humans that are still around will communicate with smoke signals.

Probably not. I think they will be replaced by implants. The cameras becoming an implant in the eye, the cell phone in the ear except for the interface that pretty much have to be an eye implant that can feed images direct into the optic nerve (menus, graphics, and the photo you are about to take). No more swiping, but direct nerve inputs that you brain will have to learn to generate. A good place to place the eye implants would be in 'the blind spot' Where the optic nerve goes through the retina. It should be fairly easy. Modern Artificial limbs are already controlled that way, but easier as they can use nerve impulses that you have already learned how to use.
Technology has come a long way over the last 100 years, im sure there will be something bigger and better 100 years from now. Who knows what life would be like.
There might be some interesting new apps -like one for people who hate waiting. It make your personal waiting time vanish; eg. suppose your doctor appointment is 2 pm and when you arrive you are informed it is moved to 4 pm so instead of waiting you set your timer app for 4 pm and in the blink of an eye it is 4 pm. No waiting! Or suppose you hate your 9 to 5 job you arrive at work then set your timer app for 5 pm and in the blink of an eye it is 5 pm but you do have recall of everything you did and said during the day. I can hardly wait...
