I only ate it because my step-father told me it was psychedelic. It didn't work the first time and he told me it was because I didn't do it right so I ate another when I had the opportunity. Now I just can't find the ones with the worms anywhere. He had those two stashed forever and I guess didn't want the wormies to go to waste since he was too wimpy to actually eat them so he shared them with me.
Strange, even in dry Mexico is shoulden't take more than a few minutes to dig enough to find a worm.

It's not that kind of worm. The mezcal worm is actually not a worm at all, it's a caterpillar. Neither is it in tequila, those bugs aren't found in blue agave. It's occasionally added to mezcal, tequila's rougher, smokier cousin, to add flavour.
Only once. Never really developed a taste for tequila, I prefer Scotch. I only ever drank mezcal once, tequila not much more often - that hangover has to be experienced to be understood, words don't do it justice. No profanity is bad enough.
