Some think Sarah Huckabee Sanders should be apologized to*. Why doesn't she apologize to us for all the lying she do?

*A comedienne roasted the he** outta her at the White House yearly Correspondents' Dinner . It was kinda raw and rough. That was ONE NIGHT! She has lied to us daily since she became WH Press Secretary. When does she plan to apologize to us for carrying the john of don's water and lying/denying daily? Inquiring minds wanna know these things.

Just because Huckabee is a liar, in your politically uniformed opinion, is irrelevant. This is about principles. Principles apply to EVERYONE including alleged liars. It's either wrong to insult a woman on the basis of appearance or it isn't. The leftist asserts that it is. The leftist has declared Trump a misogynist for doing so. Therefore the leftist is a hypocrite when they do this kind of thing. This post was edited by Zeitgeist at April 30, 2018 9:46 AM MDT

I gotta say, what I see going on in this country right now, not only makes the hair on my neck stand on end, it sickens me. Instead of addressing the singling out of Sarah Huckabee Sanders, I'm gonna answer a bit differently.  Does the truth even matter anymore? It seems that many people have stopped caring whether or not something is actually true and mainly try to write some narrative that will fit into their own belief system. If you are on the political right, then the Republican Party can do no wrong. And no amount of evidence will convince you otherwise. If you are on the political left, then, of course, everything they do is right and everything the “right” side does, is offensive, and nothing they do is ‘good.’ So, Why does this happen? Why do so many folks, regardless of which side of the aisle they are on, behave this way? Because people have no respect for the truth. I’m not talking about “truth from your perspective,” I’m talking about truth, as it is… objective, absolute, truth. I don't know if truth matters to you or not but it does matter to me. Regardless of who the Press Secretary is or who the President is truth matters and should always be a priority. As always, just my opinion. :)

It was quite a disgusting display. I have only seen highlights.  But there are many clips the news can't play because it was so vulgar and xrated.
I look for the to be straightened out by next year....if they bother at all.
Even MSNBC  was complaining about Sander's treatment. No one is defending it......They are calling it for what it is....mean hatefulness disguised as under the lie of comedy.
If I were her, I would not go again.

What happens to only policies matter, nothing else?

Can't you judge Michelle Wolf by the same standards you judge Trump?

Contrary to what several prominent journalists said, the transcript shows that Michelle Wolf did not make a single joke at the expense of Sarah Huckabee Sanders’s physical appearance. Rather, she did something much worse in the eyes of those assembled: She ridiculed the White House press secretary’s mendacity, hypocrisy and complicity. And in a searing, brutally funny segment, she criticized the willingness of the press to play along:

She is a vulgar comedian....she has no policies that effect me or that I care about because she is not an elected official.
If she was and was voting the way I expected her to vote I would not care either. But as always no one wants to compare apples to apples.

Vulgar is a judgment, not a statement of fact.

Vulgar: making explicit and offensive reference to sex or bodily functions; coarse and rude.

That is not a judgement...if the news cannot play a clip because of the content which was described as x-rated...it is safe to say it was vuglar and obscene.

    Hey Tom, Z here.
Something strikes me odd about this, maybe you can lend thought to it:

Being the child of Mike Huckabee, a Christian minister among his many other credits, it would follow that Sarah Sanders is very likely a strong Christian. How then could she NOT feel as if her soul is in jeopardy for the stream of public lies and deceit she delivers on a daily basis?

Can she actually believe it all?
What example does this set for her children?  This post was edited by Don Barzini at May 1, 2018 8:18 PM MDT

Wow, nobody here really gets it. Sanders wasn’t insulted on the basis of her appearance, she was called out on her shameless propensity to lie. She WEARS it.

Take some time to listen to what you all are griping about. Yes it was coarse, no it was not PG. But what Michelle Wolf doled out was a comeuppance. A dam*ed overdue one at that, ...and, something “poor Sarah” should aspire to, Ms Wolf did not lie.

    Wolf pointed out (correctly) that:
Cable news is oversaturated with Trump; that there isn’t clean water in Flint; that Fox News is a haven for sexual misconduct; that Ivanka Trump is full of crap; that Donald Trump is a misogynist; that Sarah Sanders lies; and that that very ballroom was packed with self-important twits who are complicit in and profiting from the current appalling state of US politics.

Looking at the barely-informed arguments posted on this Q as a sample, it is no wonder why things are so appalling. This post was edited by Don Barzini at May 1, 2018 3:58 AM MDT

Thank for your reply DB and I disagree with thee on one statement when you say NO ONE HERE REALLY GETS IT. Tom does. Happy Tuesday to thee.
