If you're in a room and some one puts a fan on are you alienated because you don't know how the fan works?

Not really, because I do know how a fan works.

Alienated, no.  Leery, yes.  I mean why would someone wear a fan?  Even if one were a fan of fans, I doubt they'd actually put one on (unless it was all a big put on). This post was edited by Shuhak at May 7, 2018 6:56 AM MDT

I'm not a big fan of fans unless it's really hot and then I think they are just fan'tastic ...not to put to finer spin on things.....  :)D

I am offended by fans because they started making the blades narrow, probably to reduce the amount of metal in them. Narrow blades make a terrible noise, like an airplane propeller. Wide blades are much quieter, but it's getting hard to find a fan with wide blades.

I have a bladeless fan perpetually gyrating and squeaking on the ceiling of my room. There's no way to turn it off. The chain is broken and the wall switch apparently doesn't connect to it anymore. It even has a light bulb dangling by a wire. I think my brothers pulled that thing out of the ceiling long ago and my father botched it up putting it back in. It's the trashiest fan you will ever see and I have no idea how to work it, mostly because everything about it is broken.

I would be more alienated if it was hot and they didn't.
