  • I stayed over at a friend's place in Sacramento and only got a couple hours of sleep because his roommate and his girlfriend were arguing loudly from about 1 A.M. to 3:30 A.M.

I hardly ever have sleep disturbed but there were some years when I often didn't even close my eyes.  It was from worrying about the well  being of someone I loved dearly.

Some things are just too personal. Use your imagination.

Why, just tonight Randy I am suffering from such a compromise.  My boss/friend threw a fight party.  Little did I know until yesterday that I was going to be the co-hostess of such event.  I worked, I shut to store down 15 minutes early, got the booze, the beer, the cups, the napkins, the plates, the ice, the limes, the chicken breast, the bbq sauce, chips, beans, etc. and proceeded to her house.  I set up, bar tended, did get to watch the fight, entertained, stayed late and helped her clean up, and just arrived home.  According to my clock, it is 2:45 am.
This normally wouldn't be a problem if it were Don keeping me up or by my own choice being on AnswerMug or doing other things... it was just a surprise to both Don and I.  I didn't mind so much but it did effect our Saturday Night Date at 8 :) ;)
