Which do you do first, the hard things or the easy stuff?

Jane, to me, hard means there is something unpleasant about it I don't want to face.  Those things eat at me and yet, I do procrastinate until I am brave enough.  Sometimes I feel lighter because I get in the mood and do all the hard things first.

But there are other situations that call for phone calls, patience and straightening out bills from some crap I didn't even knew I was being charged for.  Those are hard and tedious things.

I put those off long time.

But the easy things I breeze through, like housecleaning and that errand stuff.

I split it down the middle. I don't like doing anything.

    Sounds like an excellent approach.

    depends on the situation
    but either one works
    at different times.

Depends. In general I eat the things I don't like and leave the things I do like til last - so I think I may be a bit like that with chores and tasks too. But, I know I can also procrastinate; do a million other tasks just to put off the thing I don't want to do.  Clearly I am indecisive as well :P

Life is short. Eat dessert first.

Usually I do the easy so I feel I accomplished something to get me amped up to tackle the hard stuff.

Exactly.  Getting those things out of the way also unclutters your plate and mind so you can concentrate better when you need to.

I do the things I'm least inclined to do first and get them out of the way.

I like to get the hard stuff out of the way first.

Depends on what order works best.

The general suggestion is to start the hard thing first---but I've never tried that, so I have no idea if it works.
