Remember when Jets cereal had to stop their commercials because they gave children the mistaken idea that they could fly if they ate them?

They showed children taken off on their bicycles.  I believed it.

My mother did not buy cereal and I did not feed cereal to my kids and I don't eat cereal other than shredded wheat for a snack.

I guess that was a long route to get to no.

I didn't remember it either.  I assumed it would have a football player on the front.  ;)

I've never heard of Jet cereal.  (I've heard of jet fuel, does that count?)

No. But I recall my mother once saying she heard the star of the series Super Man jumped off a building to his death because he thought he could really fly.
