Do have a caboodle?

How about this for a new expletive phrase:  I don't give a caboodle?

    No.  My daughters had them growing up.  I would always refer to them as their tackle boxes.

    A lot of people do not know what a caboodle is. It usually mean 'a lot of stuff' (The whole kit and kabodle);
    but that is hardly what is meant in your sentence "I don't give a caboodle" there the meaning is more likely 'very little' or even 'something unwanted' (as in 'I don't give a rats ass')

  • I always heard something alone the lines of the whole kit and caboodle. As in they took the whole kit and caboodle with them.

    In England ,it's more of the Kit and Caboodle ,which is everything and more .......not that we're every greedy....:(
