Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» Some are incapable of focusing. They turn every question into something political/carry religion with them 24/7. Does anyone know WHY?
Everything of any substance touches on politics or religion. Just because people choose not to focus on something in isolation doesn't mean they are incapable of doing so. It's a conscious choice on their part. Keeping the big picture in mind 24/7 is how a person avoids getting sucked into an Orwellian double think mentality of incompatible and contradictory beliefs.
Focusing people on one thing and trying to disconnect them from their guiding philosophical and religious principles, is a technique of brainwashing and manipulation.

Because it's important... because people can tend to stick their heads into the sand and pretend it isn't happening.. people are like that... by making sure it stays centre stage it helps ensure it at least crosses people's minds.
I've lost count of how often it happens m'dear. I ask a totally nonpolitical or apolitical or nonreligious or areligious question and a respondent will make it political or religious. I ask enough of those all the time so they can get their kicks responding to them. But they turn everything into a grandstand so they can go on a riff or rant or insult or attack when the subject at hand has nothing to do with that. SIGH. Thank you for your reply! :) Also thank for always staying on topic. I truly appreciate that! :)
