My goodness, how we do attack a kindred spirit. When it comes to vicious, insulting and racist vitriol, m'dear you have no real competition from anyone out there, Barr included. As we say here, consider the source and move on.

People say things when intoxicated they wouldn't otherwise say. Racism is forgivable. It's usually just an ignorant, rude, arrogant attitude. To some extent, in group preference is part of human nature. Some people make race part of their identity, others don't.

Like everything else in life there are degrees of racism. At one end of the scale are subtle unconscious prejudices. At the other end of the scale is genocidal psychopathy. You can't compare being disrespectful to being violent.

The left have turned racial prejudice into a form of witchcraft (but only when white people do it of course). They act as if it totally negates any good qualities a person has and completely invalidates anything else they have to say.
