Geez honey thank you for the invitation! It's kind of a long hop. Across a continent and then across the pond. Maybe one day? So are they warm? The waiting rooms and exam rooms? Yesterday I went with Jim to his dental appointment. I wore sandals, a short-sleeved top. bluejeans and a light jacket. I froze from the moment we entered till we left. About half an hour. The gals who work there don't seem to notice or mind. Of course they are always doing something and moving around. The worst thing is when you are naked wearing one of those ridikkilus coverups for an exam. FREEZING. I always ask how they can stand it but I think I never asked the right question. "Why do you keep it so dam* cold"? I will next time. Thank you for your reply D. Right now the French Open is going on. Wimbledon starts Monday, July 2. Our favorite player is Roger Federer and he isn't playing any clay court tournaments. The French Open is clay court but Wimbledon as you undoubtedly know is on grass.  I guess I'm just a chatty cathy today. I dunno why! :)

I don't think any hospital is overly hot...it's certainly not healthy to be in hot sweaty environments when people are ill and caring infections.....
I think all Bactria thrives where there is and moisture, bad ventilation and condensation..

The hospitals I've been to have always felt pleasant....maybe not the really old ones built in Victorian days...
None in my family watch sport.....sometimes Formula 1 .....Yacht racing .....but not any  where they bash bal about....
I find the money they get very upsetting....why do people get so eleated because a guys kicked a ball into a goal....
Sports games are for kids and a bit of exercise.....
All these soppy sports heroes nen to get propper jobs....:(

Oh sweetie that's where you and I, thee and me, disagree! Decades ago, long before you were born, my then-husband and I moved to Massachusetts, his home state and we lived there about 5 years. That's where my son was born. That was also where I got my first "taste" of ice hockey. Ever hear of Bobby Orr? He was THE STAR of the Boston Bruins and was poetry in motion. His career was short-lived due to bad knees. I also ADORED Larry Bird of the Boston Celtics Basketball team way back when. Also a fan of the Boston Red Sox. Currently in tennis it's Roger Federer who may be the greatest tennis player ever born. Football was never my cuppa  anything but athlete heroes definitely are. We can't agree on everything. What you may not be aware of is that many athletes have charitable foundations and contribute millions to them. They have fundraisers. Andre Agassi (a former tennis great and favorite) and his wife Steffi Graf (also a former BRILLIANT tennis player) have a school in Las Vegas for underprivileged kids that is free to them from kindergarten to 12th grade I believe. Every October they have a Fundraiser to keep the school going. Roger has a charitable foundation too and the last two years Bill Gates of Microsoft fame has participated. Many other athletes about whom you may know nothing since they are not publicity hogs like America's Bimbo don have charitable foundations as well. I don't know if knowing that would be a mitigating factor that might change your views. Anyway I put it forth to you for what it's worth and for your consideration.! Thank you for your reply D!   :) What upsets me is the money corrupt evil treasonous traitorous stupid dumb colluding conspiracy theory thug mafia-connected hostile foreign country lover Pols make. Very bigly!  :( This post was edited by RosieG at May 31, 2018 6:50 AM MDT

Add the word charity to any organization  and it means the top guys there and on 7 figure sums of money each year...
My friend use to work for Mencap in payrol and said I'd be shocked at how little the charities actually passed on.....
Most have the most plushest offices in the city of London.....
One of the worse with the most luxurious offices is the religious The Salvation Army ......

Charity to me means giving yout time and knowledge freely with only meanage payment for expenses being claimed....

You are jaded my friend. As far as I know 100% of funds collected are used for charitable purposes for the specific people I have mentioned by name. The wealthy folks who fund these don't need to siphon money. They don't do it to con folks. Now are there bums who do stuff like that? Sure.  But the real deal people like Bill &Melinda Gates who have given billions I believe for charitable purposes or Andre & Steffi Agassi, Roger & Mirka Federer and others like them do it because they care about people and feel an obligation to pay back. Folks like Audrey Hepburn and Princess Diana and Angelina Jolie have given their time and hearts and money to those in need. The USED their celebrity to attract attention to those less fortunre. There ARE good kind honest honorable people in the world with money D and they are the ones we should talk about and write about and celebrate. Not the stupid dumb crumbums like Bimbo don or Bimbo Barr or any of the other selfish greedy deceitful evil lying cruel racist bigots like them. I still have faith in the goodness of human beings. You just have to look harder for them these days. The rotten bas**rds are the ones who hog up all the air and the space and the attention. They are bottom feeders and worthless scum and their devotee acolytes are their enablers. They don't represent everyone. One day they will get exactly what they deserve. I hope I live to see it. I know you will. Keep the faith. We shall overcome! :) Thank you for your reply.

I'm not talking about individuals that do things that give their  time for free Rosie....
Tv advertisement cost cost hundreds of thousands of pounds ......and those famous people that front the adverts get huge amounts of money for a few seconds work....
Bill Gates is quite unique with all the things he's  done for people..hopefully there is many more like him...

Oh. I am  talking about those specific special folks. I'n not talking generic here. I'm talking specific name brand one-of-a-kind not duplicatable. I know there are con artists and scammers out there sucking people dry and stealing money meant to help those in need. You will always have scoundrels and bums and evildoers wherever they smell the stink of money. Probably BILLIONS of dollars go in their pockets. SIGH. One day they will pay for it. I hope. Somewhere out there in an afterward. All we can do right now is OUR best. You can't always identify the crap people who prey on others. Sometimes you get conned along with all the suckers who ask for it. I think intention matters. Until people become "perfect" they will continue to screw up. Trust the wrong people. Do the wrong thing. As long as our INTENTION is to do good and be good at least we have that going for us. How close we get to that we probably will never know. Thank you for your reply D! :)

Easier to keep germs from growing. Germs thrive in warm environments.
