Ever read THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE? It lists a bunch of grievance against King George. Didja know?

Among them is the following

He has obstructed the administration of Justice  by refusing his assent to laws for establishing  Judiciary powers.

Other complaints include Cutting of our trade with all parts of the world

Read it again and refresh your memory about WHY there was a Revolutionary War. Or finally read it if you never have and see how stupid dumb it would be to embrace a wanna be king when we had a real king in place controlling every aspect of our lives. Fake is never as good as the real thing. Is it?

There is no such thing as a "real" king. They are ceremonial mascots or illegitimate dictators.

The declaration of independence refers to the British head of state which, since we're a constitutional monarchy, was King George. It was the British government in general that was responsible.

There can be no comparison between the domestic political divisions of the U.S. today,  and the complaints of a colony that was not represented in the British parliament.

There is a democratic process in the U.S.. You're just losing. This post was edited by Zeitgeist at June 3, 2018 8:46 AM MDT

Yes, I have read the Declaration of Independence. I have also read the entire Constitution and all of the Amendments. Have you? If not, you should. Every citizen should. After all, it is the supreme law of the land. :)
