Do/have you ever modified an article of clothing for comfort or a better fit?

I hate anything around my neck, so I cut a short slit in the middle of my non-v-neck tee's necks.

Wouldn't it just be easier (and less expensive) to buy V-necked tees in the first place?

They are quite difficult to find except for the v-neck undershirts, which is what I wear in the summer.

Check out Target.  I think Hanes makes them in colors other than white.

  • No. The most I do is cut out tags (and sometimes ask my mom to get them with the seam ripper).

Punched a couple of holes in belts to allow them to expand. Now I'm dropping the weight again, I need to use the belts to keep my breeks up.

  • Yep, exactly the same, slits in crew-neck T's. Can't bare a high-neck in warm weather.
Also, I detest the fashion for hip-high trousers, so I cut the over-long hems off and sew them on top to reach my waist.

I used to cut the elastics out of all my socks.
    I can't stand tight socks.
