What are things that people should be doing for themselves instead of just letting an app do for them?

Some car company is coming out with feature that beeps when you turn the car off and try to lock the front door when you get out if you've opened a back door so you don't forget you may have left your child in the back seat!  Can you imagine - people are so f'ing dumb that they need their car to remind them to take their kid out of the car?
