Uh... yes.  I've been using it for over 25 years.  Lactose free ice cream isn't that great.

Well, I guess you knew about it.
I just found out because my child is lactose intolerant and he won't drink the other substitutes.
I tried some of this Natrel.
    Yup, it's milk.

He's happy and lactose free. This post was edited by Summer at June 6, 2018 5:56 PM MDT

Over 65% of people are lactose intolerant, however many aren't aware of it.

    That's interesting.
I read somewhere once that it's actually normal to be lactose intolerant and people who aren't are the ones with the abnormal condition.
We've possibly built up an immunity to it by consuming so much of it over the years.
Not sure how true that is it's just something that I remember.

Humans can digest lactose until about age 3, after that they usually lose their ability to digest it.

As a matter of fact, I did know that.

Well I guess I'm the last one to know.
I've been drinking Almond breeze for a long time.
I'm not lactose intolerant, I just figured it has calcium and it doesn't expire for a long time and it might be healthier than milk.
I'm happy that they make lactose free milk though.

I don't particularly care for almond milk - too sweet.  Besides, do you have any idea how hard it is to milk an almond?

They crush the almonds and add water.  So, it really isn't milk at all.

That's good because the whole idea that we even drink milk from cows is pretty weird honestly. This post was edited by Summer at June 8, 2018 9:45 PM MDT

Not any more weird than drinking milk from a goat.  Babies drink mother's milk - same thing.

I know, but at some point we stop drinking our mother's milk.
Then for some reason we decide "Hmm...I'm going to go steal that milk from that cow and drink the milk that's meant for that baby calf."
    Strange. LoL!

That cow probably makes way more milk than it needs for its calf.  :)  It's also a little difficult to continue drinking mother's milk once you go to school.  Mom can't always come along for cookies and milk. :)

    Wow!!
I don't know about all that long term breast feeding stuff.
I like thinking about boobs though.
    Thanks.

There are six of us and all overlapped when it came to feeding....often I'm told my mother had two on her feeding...we are all really healthy .....I think that's down to all the alcohol my mum had to drink :):)

    Wow, six kids.
I guess I could see having a drink every once in a while to deal with raising that many, but definitely not while they are in the womb.
I guess if you guys were breast feeding then maybe you got some alcohol too.
I'm not sure of the long term effects from drinking alcohol via the breast at a young age.
You said that you're healthy, but do you love alcohol now?
Do you ever think of a breast when you drink beer?

    I'm glad you were joking.
I think my mother smoked and drank while she was carrying me.
I don't know what to say about that.
I guess it was a different time, but still I 'm not happy about it.
What if I could've been as tall as Chris Hemsworth or something?
    I'll never know.
    Oh well...
    I'm glad that your healthy.

    Oh I'm not, believe me.
I'm only 5 foot seven with my shoes on.
I think tall women should date me, but they probably won't.
They have this obsession with wearing heels and how it would look.
The world is a nasty, shallow place.
