I read some independent articles about it before sending off my sample. It all sounded very legitimate and the results are getting more accurate and precise all the time. I did not agree to let them share my information and it's a good thing; it turns out I'm 1% Jewish. That could be bad news in the event of another holocaust. On the other hand, I found out that I take more after my mother's English side of the family than my father's German side. I was glad of that because there were some certifiable geniuses on her side. My time may yet come!

No one questions the reliability of the tests. They have been proven to be reliable. However, Ancestry's terms and conditions were shocking and I would NEVER agree to them. I can't speak about any other brand. I believe there is a way to have this done at a lab and it be covered under HIPPA.
I've learned that anything that overly advertised and Ancestry DNA is, it's a scam in some way. I'd rather do the family tree thing online. At this point in my life, I don't care about my DNA and never will.
