No, but a scrollbar appear on the right when you write more than the box have room for.

Mostly I type thing in notepad, then cut&paste it into the box after proofreading (but errors still get through).

Thank you, I just posted a longer than usual reply and when posted it leaves a lot to be desired as far as presentation is concerned with line spacing and I screwed up on bold font. If doing a longish one again I will follow your advice. Cheers.

The software is so bonkers that I often compose posts in an editor and paste them here.

EDIT: spelling. This post was edited by Not Sure at June 11, 2018 8:16 PM MDT

You must have thought long and hard to come up with that one.

Evidently harder than you did with your reply.

  • One of my flaws is too long posts.
So far, I haven't found a limit to the number of words.
Just write it in your word-ap, and then post it to the box.
But many people don't read long posts.
Brevity does work better here. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at June 11, 2018 8:34 AM MDT

I agree with Hartfire about overly long posts.  It may be one of many idiocyncracies of mine, but if you can't get your point across in four or five sentences, my inclination is to just move on.

In general I would agree but in this case the questioner asked me to look at 4 or 5 links all on why, in his opinion the bible is trustworthy, sady other than simply calling bs on all of them it needed something more than a couple of lines.

Nah - you could have called BS on all of them and called it a day.  :)

Worth 2 'likes' but limited to one, I did not want to hurt the little lamb's feelings, seems he takes his myths seriously.

I have discovered that no matter what you say, someone will be offended.  There are people in this world who make it their life's goal to be offended.

There once was a wordy young man
Whose mugger posts just wouldn't scan
    "The problem" said he
    "Is easy to see"
"I always put as many words in the last line as I possibly can"
