Eating my mother's burnt liver and onions, frozen peas, and burnt toast with no butter.  She did, however, serve it with ketchup.

** I can't be mean.  It is true.  But, in her defense, she was serving it to us every Wednesday night because it was very nutritional and high in iron.  Her intentions were good.  She was just a rotten cook.  ;) ;)** This post was edited by Merlin at May 15, 2022 3:02 AM MDT

It was that casserole you made for me last week. Why do you think I've never been back to your place for dinner ever since that night?  (Next time, just make some sandwiches!)

The food was great, but my date ran out on the check and expected me to go along. This was a long time ago, but I've never forgotten it.

Folks, please take note that it was NOT ME!  Jane would never go out with me anyway*, but if she ever did, I wouldn't have done anything like that to her.

*YET.  I'm slowly but surely wearing down her resistance.

If you can actually call it "dining," I got food poisoning at a Taco Bell about ten years ago.  I haven't eaten Taco Bell since.

At party, after accepting a very big piece of chocolate cake and, upon taking a bite, finding out that it was a chocolate mocha cake.
