For every forgive, forgive, forgive doctrine do we find countless examples of the judge, judge, judge principle in the very same Book?

Do not be deceived that your wicked ways are forgiven.

I have a smashing answer, but I don't know what you're talking about!

  • That would be quite a long task - to read the whole of the New Testament purely to pluck out each reference to forgiveness or judgement.

I like to try to look at these two through the eyes of psychology.

What do we really mean when we speak of judgement as a negative thing?
How does it help with healing?
Who does it help most and why?
    How can we achieve it?
    When is it necessary?
Are there any drawbacks and if so, in what circumstances and why?

Would it not be more realistic to just conclude that that is a silly book that contradict itsellf.

It would seem that you would have already judged before you could forgive.
I think it is rather redundant.   No offense.
