WASHINGTON – Sen. Bob Corker lashed out at his fellow Republicans, saying the GOP has become almost like a cult in its support of President Donald Trump.

    "Becoming" ... HA!

    As if the vast majority of people who belong to either the Democrat or Republican parties don't have a "cult like" devotion to their party.
    It's been "my party, right or wrong" for decades.

    "Cult" is derived from an ancient word meaning a plow. Related words are cultivate, culture, colon and colony. 

    "Cult" is the only one of that group that is not well defined. In most cases it is used as a general purpose insult for a religious group.

    To be fair, we should note that almost all words used in a political context are not well defined. IOW almost nobody actually knows what they are saying, although it is pretty certain that they do know exactly what they are talking about.
