I used to want the security of that guarantee. The problem is that sometimes people change and the relationship can become unhealthy. Now that I'm older, I would rather just live in the moment more. Enjoy people while it lasts and whatever's meant to be will be.
Very wise... I think i would be the opposite. Now I am older the disappointments and let down seems worse. At the same time however, I know there are no guarantees... even someone you think could never hurt you can.

Some negative things happened during my first marriage that were out of my control, therefore I would be miserable right now. (My first wife became a lesbian.)
