I guess this is an I would rather fight than switch situation where you should better switch or else...

Excuse me. I am not a Vegan. I am mostly vegetarian and the world is bred for such types. I will outlive and out thrive the idiots who cannot think of anything but instructions.
If the world is on the verge of collapse, all food is suspect.
If I am offered meat? What about tomorrow? Am I getting another sandwich?
Meanwhile, I don't need anyone's meat or fish because stuff grows out of the ground. Ill eat that. Thanks anyway.
I'll go find some dandelions and saute' some lunch.
Well, like "Trump is an liar" said "All food would be suspect." If there's no vegetation and the planet is screwed everything will die eventually. I guess eating the meat offered may help me live a little while longer, but it will run out.
Just as a side note. Sometimes I watch those survival shows and one time I saw one where the paired up survivalists consisted of a woman who was vegan and a regular guy. This particular vegan really knew her stuff and she was able to find exactly what vegetation she needed. The guy was having a lot of trouble finding game to hunt in that area. At the end of the 30 days the guy was in quite bad shape if I remember correctly and the young vegan woman looked exactly as she did on day one. She was pretty much just continuing her usual diet that she has a home. I'm not a vegan, but I was impressed by how well they can actually survive. Meat is an amazing food source for us, but I think it pays to know how to live as a vegan or vegetarian as well. Knowledge is power.
Yeah ... as others have said or implied ... if there's no food for a vegan, there isn't going to be any food for meat animals. And people are "meat" also.
