    I can't recall and it wasn't for myself - it was with a friend who was looking to take out a book.  I don't even know what I did with my library card.

    I don't think I ever checked out a book all through high school.  My parents bough us an encyclopedia and at that time, I was only reading things related to school, so no need to borrow any books.  Now I buy what I like in paperback and when I'm done, ship the books down to my friend in Fla.

    No...There are hundreds of reference libraries all over England...You hand over your ticket with your details on it and books get booked out to you.....:)
