  • "Probably not" ...  but I recommend using a shorter screwdriver
     and not holding the can against your chest while executing this procedure.

    Get a clue! Set the can on a flat surface and rub the edge of the seal with a rock until the top comes loose.

    That is the only way to open a can that does not drop shards of steel into the food.

    Oxo makes a tool that does exactly that, except it doesn't use a rock.
