    I am sure I would definitely get up and look where the sounds were coming from.  I would want to help, if need be.  After I satisfied my curiosity, I would know I was just hearing things.  Possibly a raccoon outside playing or a cat. :):)

    Just a while ago I started hearing a loud buzzing noise from outside,  couldn't figure out what it was but stopped after a few minutes. Was no THUDS though -I just threw that in.
