Enemy of the State. Think about what that would mean in a place where freedom of speech were punished and democracy was a word in the dictionary. Is Freedom of Speech essential or not? Why?

Do you believe people should be punished for what they say? If it isn't to the liking of those in power should people be put in prison because of it?  Do you want  the leader of your  country to make all freedom of expression that he/she doesn't  like illegal and punishable by law?  Why?

The only purpose of a government is to prevent any other group from taking control. It is the duty of a citizen to control his government. That is why governments always eventually treat citizens as enemies of the state. Always.

1st amendment is the backbone of all amendments, that's why it's number one, speech and the right to assemble. Without that there would be no Constitution.

Very true, Gov. workers that are supposed to serve the citizens forget that basic rule. e.g. the Prez. is a citizen and not a 4 star General.
