    A blood/sugar reading might indicate you are in a pre diabetic state if you are doing a lot of sugar stuff.

    It's not "soft drinks" as such that are the problem, but ones that are very rich in sugar - it's the excess sugar that raises the risk of diabetes.

    And diabetes IS a big deal. Left unchecked it can cause all sorts of damage including blindness.
