Did you know.... (see below for question)

Did you know "Sir B. McKenzie's Daughter's Lament For The 77th Mounted Lancers Retreat From The Straits Of Loch Knombe, In The Year Of Our Lord 1727, On The Occasion Of The Announcement Of Her Marriage To The Laird Of Kinleakie" by Fairport Convention was called "Guinness Book Of Records" in Germany?

Sorry I had to post it like this, but the question was too long to post in the conventional way on here. Now you know why I'm so often having conniptions. Lol:)

I hate to burst other people's bubbles, but I thought I'd better tell you before you buy that record hoping to hear some of the grooviest lyrics ever written: it's an instrumental.

My, that IS a question! Only in Scotland is a foot race set to music and called a lament. Everything Scottish takes months of training to do well, and weeks of training just to appreciate.

BTW you might have less trouble with conniptions if you would wear a shirt.

Oh, my avatar? It's merman, Jewels. Mermen don't wear shirts, they don't like getting them wet. Lol:)

I didn't know it was a word until I saw it on another website the other day. I looked it up and it does exist, so I'm going to start using it regularly. Lol:)

Feel free to conjugate whenever you like, Lucia. I'm looking forward to seeing that. I enjoy watching the baffled expressions on people's faces even when I can't see their faces. Lol:)

Yes, I knew that. I've been into Fairport Convention for many years.
