Well. once at the burger place the checkout guy said "that will be 29 DKR", I was hungry so rather than arguing i handed him a 50 DKR note. Then he gave me 29 DKR in change. The advertised price were something like 23 DKR; so all in all I ended up gaining 2 DKR.
When I got my first cellphone I paid a small token price for it with a year contract $55/month. Every month the bill kept getting a bit higher, at end of the year was being billed for $85/month so I departed them then I got emails saying 'we're sorry to lose you. Why...' (get lost) I went to a different company with my phone for a $55 month to month then I lost my phone so they offered free phone 2 year contract $55/month. My first bill was $150! Whoa! So they knocked off $50. I paid (kinda steep but..) my next bill was $100 !! But they reduced it to 80. 3rd bill was $134. I never paid anymore, kept the phone and went to a different dealer. They cut my service but kept billing me up till I owed $621. Ha ha. They reported to the credit bureau -I didn't care, because I am old and retired anyway and don't need more credit where I am already established with Mastercard.
There were stories in the media about Canadians being ripped off by their cell phone providers -anyway now I pay $38/month unlimited everything.

There was a grocery store chain in my home town that, back in the early nineties. routinely added items onto my grocery purchase. I mean the items would be listed right on the receipt with the price. I complained a few times and they took it off. Then one evening I went in there and spent over $200 but when I examined the receipt before I left, there was almost $30 worth of stuff on there that I didn't buy. That was it. I didn't go to the manager; I went to the state attorney general. The chain was out of business within two year. They had been around my whole life. I don't mean because of my complaint. I believe they systematically added about 15% to people's bills. I never heard anything about my complaint but did hear on the news that the AG was looking at fraudulent charges on grocery receipts. Now I never fail to glance at my receipt no matter how long it is. Usually the only mistake I find is where I scan things twice at the self checkout. I have to say I think it's kind of fun scanning and bagging my own stuff. I'm so slow people in line behind me huff and puff but I don't care. They do the same thing when I pull out my checkbook to write a check too. I find joy in the most simple of places.

"Yes" ... Phone Company adding calls onto my bill that I didn't make. I contacted them, got little satisfaction and now have service with another company that offers unlimited calling for a price. So they can add all they want now ... doesn't cost me any extra!
