It would be totally contrary to his message. Money does talk, but not usually in a Godly way.

"It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a wealthy man to enter the kingdom of heaven". I didn't look it up so maybe i didn't get it verbatim but ya get my drift! You people need to learn the business. Joseph and Mary had to go live for a few years in Egypt, where the cost of living was rather high. To cover those expenses, God sent Daniel to the east to found a church. He told the priests there how to recognize the sign of the birth of the son of God, and they spent five hundred years gathering gold, frankincense and myrrh to give to the parents of the baby Jesus, so they could afford to flee to Egypt when the time came.

So Jesus was raised in a wealthy family, and had considerable coins of his own. His robe was so expensive that when he was crucified the soldiers gambled for it instead of tearing it up and distributing the scraps as they normally would do.

Jesus was the guy who told Peter to get a coin from the mouth of a fish to pay the tax to get into a city. Jesus is the guy whose father owned the cattle on a thousand hills. Jesus was not a poor man.

None of God's prophets were ever poor.
