That's true of vinyl records. CDs have to be changed every 40 or so minutes. MP3 can play an entire folder of records without interruption, repeating if you desire.
We have a high school nearby that has its own radio station. They play only 50s and 60s oldies continuously, however, the range is only about ten miles. The only breaks they take are mandatory station ID.
Sweet. It's getting harder to find stations that play the oldies. Even harder to find stations that don't have a couple of DJs that do more yakking between themselves than playing music.
"Open media player and click on the Cusco play list." I've already done this scores of times and with just about thirteen hours of Cusco music, it can be a long time before I might hear the same song twice.
A subscription to Pandora. I use it at work. The music plays for hours without interruption. The only downside is sometimes songs repeat, and sometimes it plays things that I don't really like (but then I just skip them).
I don't listen to much music at all, not even while driving. I prefer to hear what's going on around me. I don't hate music, I prefer quiet when I have the choice. That's mostly because I suffer from frequent migraines and I don't want to get one started.
