It's only a beautiful day when it's raining all day and the rain not leaking in my bedroom.

It's been raining most of the day which is good. I don't have to water the garden and flowers and I don't have to trim the lawn. It's beautiful for the farmers.
And for the flowers and the earth worms and the reservoirs and the bird baths. I really do not like the rain at all but am aware I need to change my ways. I grew up where it rained 360 days a year. But, I DO know it is well needed and a very good thing. Are you a farmer? ;) :)
Very, very close! The lovely city of Portland, Oregon. Well, not in the city. We lived in Beaverton about 20/30 minutes out on the way to the ocean (going west.) I choose they vintage photos because they actually show the rain. I didn't own a pair of grey sweatpants or sweatshirt the whole time I lived there (18 years.) Everything was grey around me. Why would I own grey clothes?! Yes. Ohio looks beautiful. I've been to Bowling Green and the University there. It was beautiful. :) :)
I can say one thing positive, well two. People who live in the Pacific Northwest have beautiful skin as a general rule. They don't get sun and it is very moist. And, it is ALWAYS GREEN. Between the Douglas Firs, the ferns, and the moss, you can always bet you're going to get wet. ;)
I've been in the Chicago area a few times myself, but usually in the western suburb areas. Going to Chicago always meant running an LTL load for some driver that was on vacation :(
