What is your most recent purchase at a dollar/pound store?

All 38 items?  I am THE WORST when it comes to the dollar store.  At one point I had to give myself a 10 dollar limit, including tax.  That lasted a week.  Then I compromised with myself and made it $20.  You can see how well that went over with my dollar store desire.
One of those items were sponges.  For the KITCHEN! ;D! ;D!

  • I didn't have to go to the pound.  She wandered into the yard where my male met her and procreated.  Now there are 4.

Great answer and she is adorable.  I would have liked to have one of her puppies for sure.  She knew what she was doing when she wondered into your backyard.  Good for her and congratulations!! :) :)

  • I took her to check for a chip and the vet told me she was about a year old.  That was about 18 months ago when I took that photo.  It's one of those I put on the pound's website attempting to find an owner.  No one claimed her, so she's still hanging out, getting a lot fatter since she was spayed.  And, also, I have sprayed my walk off since then.

WHY?  Because you need to pay 3 bucks for Dawn dish detergent.  Have at it.  I pay one dollar for same bottle.

I'm with ya dollar store gal! It is GREAT for cleaning products and sometimes party decorations.  You are only going to use them for one birthday.  Why spend all that money for the balloons, paper plates, napkins, plastic silverware, cups, hats, plastic table cloths, whatever you need at Party City?  You can get it for about $50 less at the dollar store and recycle all the stuff when it is over.  It is a win-win!  Plus, sponges were $4.00 at Vons with tax.  It is the SAME sponge!! DUH!!  Shop On my2cents!! :) :)

But I recycle it Stu Bee.  It is "shame on me" for a few hours of fun.  You are right.  But I put it in the recycle bin and they turn it into  other good things.  Right?  Please correct me if I'm wrong.  I would hate for you to be disappointed in me. :(.

  • Probably because nothing in one costs a dollar.  I like Five Below because everything is $3-5 and no dishonest logo.

The one pictured above is a true dollar store. Some items are 2/$1.00.

  • I don't know there are any of that chain here, but I'll be more than glad to give them a try if they come to my area.

We have a couple different dollar stores.  Some are like yours Point of Light.  I tend to shy away from those because I have the true Dollar Stores like Element was showing.  There literally isn't anything over a dollar and you can't beat it for silly and practical things.  If you ever come our way, I'll take you to one.  This way I can take you to a really expensive night out on the town and it will balance in our budget!  Big Giggles!  It'll be great!  The practical and outlandish side!
